Oakland Museum

I finally got off my laurels and went to the Oakland Museum today with Emily. I really wanted to see the Birth of the Cool exhibit. Unfortunately, no photography allowed (booo). But it was fun. I listened to some Ray Charles and Miles Davis and watched some early cartoons of the late 50's. We walked around and saw the Cool Remixed exhibit, which was urban art and culture. We checked out the coi pond and a few other exhibits, but most were closed due to renovations. We found ourselves running in circles like we were trapped in the labyrinth. But had a good time!

I found some pics of the exhibit on google. If ya have the time, you should check it out before it ends August 17th!
